a thank you and a few photos

I didn't know how to write this post. All I can say is thank you to all the people who were involved in our wedding, to all who prayed prayers, served and attended. We are so blessed and we appreciate you so much. Thank you and God Bless. (All photos were taken by John Hooker)

This is how Matt waited for the wedding to start.... Oh how I love this man!! :)

This is how my dad and I waited..... and this is classic Lloyd

Breathing

"What are you most proud of?" A lady I used to work for asked me what I was most proud of in regards to the wedding. "Uhmm...... the fact I'm still breathing???" We both laughed and after a few minutes of polite small talk, the conversation was over. But, my brain wasn't done pondering the question. Truthfully, I don't have anything to be proud of.  This wedding isn't happening because of my planning. If it weren't for my mom and all her work, there would be no wedding. I'm serious. I would have said "Screw this! Matt, we're eloping!!" But, because of her - and the lots and lots of grace - the wedding is going to happen. I really don't have anything to be proud of but, I have oh so much to be thankful for.

Bonfire

David, his girlfriend Hannah, Matt and I knew it was the perfect night for a bonfire -- upper 40s temp wise, clear skies, windless and brisk. Rugby was entertaining since he was very entertained by the flames, the fire was hot, the boys were goofy and it felt so good to such a simple gift - no electronics, no busy schedule, no high tech equipment. Just the fire and friends.

Hannah, you're beautiful.

I love nights like these :)

Human Geography

The Geography of a Woman

Between 18 and 22, a woman is like Africa; half discovered, half wild, fertile and naturally beautiful.

Between 23 and 30, a woman is like Europe; well developed and open to trade, especially with someone who is of real value.

Between 31 and 35 a woman is like Spain; very hot, relaxed, and aware of her beauty.

Between 36 and 40, a woman is like Greece; gently aging but still a warm and desirable place to visit.

Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain, with a glorious, all conquering past.

Between 51 and 60, a woman is like Israel; been through war, doesn't make the same mistakes twice, and willing to take care of business.

Between 61  and 70, a woman is like Canada; self-preserving, but open to meeting new people.

After 70, a woman is like Tibet; wildly beautiful with a mysterious past and wisdom of the ages; an adventurous spirit and a thirst for spiritual knowledge.

The Geography of a Man

Between 1 and 80 a man is like Iran: ruled by nuts.

D+R

If David were a dog, he'd be Rugby. If Rugby were a person, he'd be David. They beg for food, they beg for company. They can be as annoying as all get out and yet, they are fun loving. When I cry, Rug will come and lick the tears away, and David will give me a hug.

I love these boys.
